To get it defrosted quickly, the most common way is to hold the container under running water for sometime. Though this method is very effective in defrosting the food, it is responsible for a lot of water wastage. Water is simply allowed to run off and individuals do not realize the amount of water that runs off without using. To avoid this wastage of water while thawing food, the simplest method is to thaw the food in a container or a pan. This would help in thawing the food in limited amount of water and there would be no water wastage.
All people need to do is to take a container or a pan and fill is with water. Then just keep the food bowl in the water pan or container and thaw it. This would mean that people have been successfully able to save a few liters of water in the process. Also, another simple way of thawing food without holding it under running water is to take out the food out of the refrigerator for sometime before consuming it. For this individuals just need to plan ahead and remember to take out the food out. It would automatically get defrosted and come to room temperature.
