Mowing advices

For mowing it is very important that you don't cut more than one-third of the grass length during any mowing. Don't use blunt blades they will shred and tear the grass, making it more prone to pests and disease. Try to alternate your mowing pattern for healthy and better growth of the grass.

Watering Advice

Most grass require 1 inch of water per week. However alter the watering with changing climatic conditions. Don't water if you think it is going to rain, too much of water is an invitation to disease, Use of automatic irrigation system will help you greatly in keeping a consistent watering schedule. Just remember that frequent watering can weaken the turf making your lawn more vulnerable.

Weed Control

Weeds are basically uninvited plants that grow wherever they get space. The best way to curb their growth is by doing everything to promote a dense and healthy lawn. It implies to proper mowing, watering and fertilizing. The primary reason of weed growth can be mowing too short and frequently. Similarly faulty watering and fertilization can also stress the turf making it easier for the weeds to grow. With proper lawn care if good herbicides are used in the right quantity at the right time of the year you can easily have a weed free lawn.

Fertilizing

There is no alternative for quality, so always use a quality fertilizer of better results. Don't over fertilize or even under fertilize the lawn that won't help. Fertilize to the required amount. Watering the lawn soon after an application can further enhance the efficiency of the fertilizer. Make sure that you use a good spreader for proper fertilization.
With a proper application you will definitely have a lush green and healthy lawn. But beware of diseases and pests. Take precautionary measures in advance by using the right pesticides preferably organic, at the right time and in right quantity.
