Free Lawn Care Contracts

In this era of Lawn Care Contracts, it is worthwhile to note that very few services are offered free of cost. Since lawn care is backbreaking and time consuming, many households prefer employing lawn service contractors to perform lawn maintenance tasks. These services may include lawn mowing, weeding, application of fertilizers and pesticides, seeding of flower and vegetable beds, tree and shrub care, and allied activities. In order to avail of these services, you may have to sign an expensive lawn care contract. When signing a contract, be aware of the fine print. If your overall expenses are high, you are entitled to a few freebies. When the lawn service representative appears with the contract, insist on learning of any service that is offered for free.

Services for free:
Usually, lawn care companies agree only to an initial free lawn analysis. This involves checking whether your lawn is healthy and suggesting remedial measures to spruce up your lawn. The other free service you can count on is liability insurance from the company to cover any accidents that might happen while fertilizing or pest application work is going on. Also free is reseeding; lawn care companies readily agree to reseed failed vegetable and flower beds. The above three services are the only ones that loosely come under the free banner.

It is important to remember that lawn care companies offer contracts on an annual basis that may involve a specific number of visits. Insist on extra unpaid visits if some unscheduled work comes up. For instance, there may be a pest problem that requires immediate attention. If your lawn care contract is expensive, you may insist on guarantees for all the work performed. If the lawn care company has an exemplary work record, it will readily redress your valid concerns.

If you renew your lawn care contract with the same company, be certain to insist on some free services. These could include an extra dose of pesticide application or an additional layer of fertilizers, or whatever your specific garden needs may be at that juncture. And be certain to avail of these free services by putting everything in writing before signing the renewal contract.
