Using non stick utensils in the kitchen

Most nonstick cookware is coated with Teflon or Silver stone. Use utensils that are designed for use with nonstick coatings because if the coating becomes damaged, it cannot be restored at home, no metal utensils with nonstick cookware. Wood, plastic, or rubber is alternatives. While wood looks nice and does not melt, it is harder to keep clean. Plastic and rubber utensils need to be high quality so they do not melt or break in high heat. A modern kitchen is typically equipped with a stove or microwave oven and has a sink with water on tap for cleaning food and dishwashing.

The best cook ware in kitchen

Non-stick is a coating applied to cook wares that prevents food from sticking and makes clean up easier. Non-stick coating also reduces the amount of fat used for cooking. All non-stick coatings contain a slippery material called polytetrafluoroethylene. This slippery material is the reason why food does not stick to the non-stick cookwares. Non-stick cookware is the charm for every kitchen today. Fry pan is the first cookware marketed with the non-stick finish. It is used for almost all sorts of cooking but is not advisable for sautéing because coating interferes with the heat transfer from the underlying pan. The cookware is incredibly durable with superior heat conductivity. Non-stick cookware's are attractive and eye catching too.

Factors Determining the Durability of Non Stick Cookware

The durability of non-stick cookware greatly depends on the type of material to which the coating is applied. Hard anodized aluminum or stainless steel is far more durable than aluminum. Overheating can cause damage to the non-stick coating. This generally happens in lightweight cookwares. The thicker the cookware better is the heat distribution. Using the non-stick cookware's in an appropriate and advisable way enhances the life of the cookware.
Care and Maintenance of Non Stick Cookware
Use hot soapy water and avoid using abrasive pads or powders. If food does stick to the pan, soak in hot water to loosen stuck on food. A nylon-scouring pad cleaner can be used to help remove stuck on food. Do not wash in a dishwasher. Protect the non-stick surface by only using wooden, plastic or coated utensils when cooking.
