Choosing Spa Steps

One of the spa accessories is the spa step. They come in different varieties of shapes and sizes. Some model of spa steps is also a solution for storage problems. The spa dealers sell theses as accessories. They are made of wood or vinyl material, non- slip steps, which allow both the adults and children to get in and out of the spa easily and safely. You can also get portable steps that are movable and they are available in different colours. The spa owners have a wide choice of steps of variety of styles available in the market. One thing that the spa owners should keep in mind is that, you would be getting out of spa with wet feet so make sure that the steps are sturdy, balanced and have good traction pads that prevent slipping. Some of the common steps available in the market are listed below.

Types of steps

There are mainly two types of steps one is the standard steps and other the storage steps. Let's have a quick look at these.

Standard Steps

You have to choose the steps depending on the height of the spa. You can go for any model or shape, keeping in minds the height of the spa. If the spa is short you require only one step. But if the walls of the spa are high and interior is deep then you can go for either triple or double steps. Piano key steps, as well as flat plank steps are available in single, double and triple models. These standard steps come in variety of materials, ranging from wood to aluminum to molded plastic available in variety of colour. If you are using wooden steps then make sure that it waterproof one made from cedar wood or else varnish the same with waterproof material.

Storage Steps

To save space and make the spa room look spacious it is always better to look out for steps, which has storage features in it. Spa room is the place where you go to get away from hassles of the daily routine. You would need to store your music Cds if you the room is provided with a music player, your lotions, glasses for warm drinks, towels, napkins oils, bath soap granules and so on. Storage steps conveniently store such items for ready access without being visible when not in use. Whether the steps are curved ones or the normal straight ones, they come in materials like wood, plastic or aluminum and in different shades and colours. They are bit expensive compared to the standard models. Cost should not be a major concern, when you can stow away your spa stuff in a perfect storage.
