Gardening for house cooling

With the rising intensity of pollution, the effects of global warming are becoming more severe day by day. Rising temperatures is making life tough especially during summers. Though one can use air conditioners and coolers to get rid of the heat, these ways won't last for long and are not even that economic. Instead of using such manmade solutions, going natural can be the best and most effective and long lasting way to get rid of the rising temperatures. One of the best natural ways of keeping the house cool is maintaining a lush green garden around the house.

How do the garden help?

Increasing levels of carbon dioxide is one the major reasons of rising temperatures. Plants use this carbon dioxide and convert it to oxygen thus not only cooling the area around it but also freshens the air. On the other hands plants and trees prevent sunlight from directly falling onto the house. This prevents the direct penetration of ozone in the house thus avoiding the temperatures from rising. Trees provide with cool and natural shade over and around the house which significantly reduce the temperature around the house thus cooling it. Since the garden has a foundation of soil, it absorbs the maximum heat and prevents it from reflecting it back and thus helps in cooling. Similarly as a garden requires frequent watering during summers, this produces a cool milieu.

Add trees to the garden

Trees can help the best in creating a cool surrounding. Since trees are larger they provide with larger shades which help the most for cooling the house. On the same time trees have a better capacity to absorb carbon dioxide thus help better in reducing the temperature. Since trees have larger height they effectively stop the direct effects of ozone.

Along with all these advantages keeping the house cool with gardens is the cheapest way and most long lasting way. By maintaining a garden one not only keeps his house cool but also of his neighbors. Moreover it is a best and most needed contribution towards the society and towards maintaining the ecological balance.
