Making environment cool in your home is a way of healing tensions and physical disorders caused due to scorching temperature. Staying cool is the necessity for the old, young and almost everyone. The summer heat always waits to enter your home with full force. Applying few common sense ideas to tackle summer heat may help you to greater aspects. Frugal ideas help you without the benefit of air conditioner and dread the coming of heat. Frugal ideas help to stay cool without busting budgets.

Use of appliances like dishwasher, oven, washer and dryer is also a cause for raising heat in your home. So, keep appliance usage in your home to a minimum during the day. It doesn't make any sense sticking your hands in the cold water. Better drink cold water to overcome sweat problems. Circulation of air in your home is important. Keep the windows open during the evenings to enjoy cool fragrance. Level of humidity should be low for keeping house cool because the higher the humidity, the warmer you will feel. Avoid boiling foods, use cold water when hot is not necessary and keep your showers and baths short. You can even use a small fan to blow the humidity out of your bathroom if you do not have exhaust fan. Shading the windows with awnings is another cheap method for keeping home cool. Paint your house with light colors in order to reflect heat since dark colors absorb heat. Plant trees around your home to maintain low temperature and make environment cool. Shade can make a lot of difference because the temperature in the shade is often up to ten degrees cooler.

Turn off all lights that are not necessary as they produce a lot of heat. Home that has little natural light then better look for energy efficient, low wattage light bulbs. This low wattage bulb produces less heat. Compete with the hot summer creating frugal ideas to encounter heat. Sprinkling water on the roof is also a frugal way enhancing you to stay cool.
