There are certain games that each one plays as a child. A skipping rope is one of the very important childhood signs. The sight of a skipping rope makes each one think of the long days spent in the backyard playing with friends in the company of a huge group of friends. Many people have this notion that only one person can play with a skipping rope at a time. However, it is not the case and even two to three children can come together to play the game. Jumping on a skipping rope take a large amount of energy, skill and vigor on the part of the child. Hence, apart from playing it for fun, it is a great exercise regime for the children. For jumping on the rope, the child must be extremely light on his feet. If he is not he must first practice skipping regularly to be adept with it. In fact playing on the skipping rope daily has several advantages. It is one of the few games in which the entire body gets exercised. Especially, the muscles in the hands and the legs get built up and strengthened to a great extent.
The fact that one person can use a skipping rope is known. Skipping games also include the participation of two or more children. The common game is the game in which two children swing the rope from both the ends respectively and one child can jump over it in between. Likewise more than one child can jump in between with two children swinging it from both the ends. This helps the kids in learning attributes of team work and co-ordination. This is because even if one kid makes a mistake the entire sequence would be disturbed and kids might even fall and get hurt. Hence, they learn the importance of caution and focus with this game.
There is no doubt that in this process, the children would enjoy themselves thoroughly. Especially with their friends around, they can have a real great time in their backyards.
