Appliance & Home Hpparel Shopping

Moving into a new home? Need to spice it up a bit? Home decorating and appliance/home apparel shopping.

Shopping for home accessories and appliances is no laughing matter. Often the choices to make you have to live with for 20 or more years. This is especially true when renovating the home. Making hasty decisions can end up leaving you packing up, and finding a new home. Its can be hard even finding a store that carries what you want. What’s worse is that many of us have to work with a very tight budget. There are some basic rules to follow when deciding to renovate, redecorate, remodel, or refurnish.

First of all, decide on your budget. What I like to do is split my budget up in to three groups; 60/20/20. I’ll go on my initial shopping spree with 60 percent of the total budget, and try to get the major things on my list, or priorities. The other 2 portions I will save. (I’ll explain later)

Second grab as many catalogs from stores in your area. Spend the time picking a bunch of options and once you have picked out everything you NEED, and you remain in the first 60% of the total budget, and then go shopping.

Using your imagination and incorporating your own style and tastes into your decorating,

refurnishing and renovating will always please you more than if you just rush in and take the first thing you see.

Some home accessories that are a must include, cutlery, plates, pots, pans, cutting board, candles, dish cloths, curtains, bed sheets, pillows, blankets, and comforters. Some appliances that everyone should have include: stoves, microwave, toaster, and refrigerator. Some important key pieces of furniture include: couch, table, chairs, coffee table, night stand, bed, dresser and cabinet.

So many choices, you could go with a leather couch over a regular couch. The price is often the number one factor when shopping for these kind of things. You might as yourself, “should I choose a gas stove over a electric?” there are the pros, and cons with gas stoves, the best thing to do is research them both and make your own conclusion. Deciding color schemes and décor arrangements can dive you crazy for weeks, but as long as you take your time, you wont regret your decision.
